Greetings everybody from Bulgaria.

We recently bought a TVR Cerbera. In fact 2 days ago, but we dont know anything about it. The one thing, which for sure - IT IS HELL OF CAR, never experienced something like this.

We have several questions:

1) what kind of engine oil will best suit to this engine
2) there is a problem with the exhaust system, it is awfully noisy, any suggestions
3) What kind of rims can we fit at this car

Please reply in english, because our German is awfull (((

I prefer 10w60 Agip Racing or 10w40 Sint2000 or any else from other company.
A Cerbera is loud very loud, I have a racing exhaust an it is very very loud but i love it.

1) What engine? AJP8 4,2/4,5 or Speed Six?

2) Sounds like the car was decatted. Means there are not cats any more. Did you check that? If so, the car would be significally louder than standard. The exhaust might be cracked somewhere as well. Or you just have a sport exhaust installed.

3) There are various combinations possible. What you want to go for? 16, 17, 18 or even biger rims?

Hi everyone,
thanks for kind replies.

The engine is 4.2.



We checked this one. So we have to search for a fully synthetic engine oil. What about 20w60 - or it is too thickly?

About the exhaust system - we are thinking to change it with entirely new one, what about the dimensions of the pipes, any suggestions, because at first glance the factory exhaust is too tight for this big engine? Can the car "breathe" well?

About the wheels - we are looking for 18" spyder rims.

--> I checked some more information and according to the owners of Cerbera's the factory clutch is awfull. They suggest to change it as soon as possible with AP Racing.

--> Also the suspension - what about coil overs, any suggestions?

--> Look like the factory differential tampons are bad, what about them, is the Polyurethane variant suitable?

p.s. We dont know anybody with TVR in Bulgaria and we believe that this is the first car from this manufacturer ever driven here nice )))

20w60 is also ok.
I have not the big last silencer on my car.
18" are ok but 17" are also big on this car.
In Austria are mine and one other cerbera.
Polyurethane variant is suitable.
