Hi Guys, (and Girls?) :)

 I am trying to discover how many Austrian TVR owners there are with a view to setting up a meet some place in Austria.

I started a thread on PistonHeads, please add your name and details if you're interested:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=13&t=553531&nmt=TVR's%20in%20Austria%20-%20roll%20call

I will then PM you so that we can exchange email addresses amongst each oither.

If you're not a PistonHead member please post here and I will add you to the list. If your OK'ish with English then I recommend you take a look at the TVR sections. There's tons of useful tips, info etc and lots of helpful, knowledgeable people and businesses.

My German is toooo embarassing to attempt the above... sorry  Maybe one day

Thanks Patrick for the heads up,

I tried to contact Josef more than a year ago but we had some language problems, so even though he lives not far from me we have not yet met. I have not heard from him since then and so I started to do some leg work myself,, just keen to meet up with fellow enthusiasts before summer is over and my enthusiasm wanes. My German has improved since Josef and I last 'talked', so maybe next time we come across each other the coms will be better. I need the German practise!

I sent him an email with a link to the thread on Pistonheads. Hopefully he visits the German forums and sees my posts there too.

I need a babel fish

ps I had Josef on the top of my list as RO

Dear m4rk,

In my opinion it is necessary to work together to reach some benefits for the German speaking TVR scene. In Austria, Germany and Switzerland there are not so many TVR located, that we need trouble and internal fights. Maybe it is a good idea to give Sepp a call and I think he is thankful for some enthusiastic help.

Regards
Patrick

Whoa,,,,,Hold up. I think you misunderstand. I am just looking for some TVR mates, the chance to swap notes and an excuse to have some fun with the cars. I am not interested in internal fights, alternative clubs, wings etc etc. I'm happy to go with whatever is already here. Its just that I am do not see much happening that I can attend locally in Austria, and I do not seem to be the only one. Maybe its my problem for not being better at German and as a result I am missing out on stuff??

Hi,

We need fresh and enthusiastic new blood for the TVR scene and I think help is always welcome. Next year the 3LT (three nation meeting) is in Austria and Sepp and Chris Willy probably need some help to organize it. I am not sure if they are still planning something, but after a short call you are informed. :D

Regards
Patrick

Hi m4rk!
There is an other TVR-owner in Styria. His nickname was JUPI6 in the "old" TVR-forum and he lives somewhere around Bruck an der Mur...
Maybe you will call "Krisles", he is from Slovenia, very close to the Styrian border (Celje) and he is driving a Tuscan.

greeds from a Styrian-TVR fan
Josef

Hello Mark,

I would have expected some language problems when contacting Josef Baumgartner. The guy you should talk to in Austria is Martin Billensteiner.

You will receive Martin’s e-mail address via forum mail.

Eckhard

Hi All,

So far it looks like four TVR's will be meeting at the sports car festival in Velden Austria. This takes place at the end of August.

You can find full details and list of the possible attendees here:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... %20Austria

If anyone else wants to join us please call me. The organiser has agreed the TVR's can join the parade on Saturday and I am hoping we could stick together but I must inform the organiser of the numbers.

Thanks, Mark
